February Schedule

February Announcements
- We've moved the Level 2 Salsa Building Blocks class from Thursday to Wednesday. Please see the schedule
below for details.
- Saturday, February 6 - a Benefit for Haiti.
We're changing up the class schedule that night, offering a number
of workshops:
6-7pm: Beg West Coast Swing (Laura) or Detroit Ballroom (Noah & Shonna)
7-8pm: Beg Tango (Jenny & Tamar) or Int Tango Milonga (Avik & Patricia)
8-9pm: Beg Salsa or Int/Adv Salsa (Laura)
$10 Donation,All proceeds go to relief efforts in Haiti
Dance Revolution Party 9pm-1am
General Information
- Each class costs $8 ($7 with a student ID). Special rate Tuesdays--pay for
just one class and take as many as you want.
- You don't need to register for any of our classes.
- You do not need to come with a partner. We will rotate partners during each class.
TUESDAYS:
6-7pm. Level 2 Salsa Combinations: Moves from the Level 2 Building Blocks class put together
into sequences.
7-8pm. Level 3 Salsa Building Blocks: Must know the moves covered in Level 2.
You will learn individual moves like Sekou, Back to Back In & Out, Hammerlocks,
Show the Diva, Sunflower, Turnstyle, Whip, etc.
8-9pm All Levels Bachata: (We have 2 rooms at the new studio so we can have Beg & Int Classes at the same time)
WEDNESDAYS:
7-8pm. Ladies Styling: We focus on spinning technique, body movement, arms, incorporating styling into partnerwork,
and shines (footwork you do by yourself)
Ladies who come to the ladies' styling class from can stay free of charge for the Level 2 class at 8pm.
8-9pm. Level 2 Salsa Building Blocks: Must know Level 1 moves. You will learn the xbody lead,
xbody outside, & xbody inside from multiple hand positions; 3 R turns, hair combs, up &
over, up & over inside, in & out.
SATURDAYS:
7-8pm. Level 1 Salsa : No prior knowledge of dance necessary. We will cover the basics, the R turn, 3 R turns,
xbody lead and xbody lead with an outside turn.
8-9pm. Level 3 Salsa Combinations: Must know the moves covered in Level 2.
We warm up then learn a new partnerwork pattern each week.
February 6 and 20: 9 PM - 1 AM: Serious About Salsa Dance Party
$5 (free if you took one of the lessons that night!)
Join us for our parties, where we play mostly salsa with some bachata, merengue, and
cha cha. The crowd is always extremely friendly and includes both expert and new dancers.
These parties are held every 1st and 3rd Saturday.
